Terms of Use

Call us today - (281) 555-0100

These Terms of Use apply to your access of steveslatonappliancerepairs.com and to any appliance repair service you arrange with Steve Slaton Appliance Repair (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Using this website or requesting service constitutes acceptance of these terms.

1. What we do

We perform in-home diagnosis and repair of residential appliances: refrigerators, freezers, ranges, ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, ice makers, wine coolers, beverage centers and built-in coffee systems. Scheduling is subject to technician availability, part availability, and safe access to the appliance.

2. Appointments and arrival windows

We schedule service in two-hour arrival windows. Gulf Coast traffic, prior jobs that run over, and severe weather can affect our timing. We will contact you if your window needs to change. An adult 18 or older must be present at the property and available for the full duration of the visit.

3. The diagnostic fee

A diagnostic fee is charged on every service visit and is disclosed when you book. Once the assessment is complete, the fee is earned regardless of whether you proceed with the repair. If you approve the recommended repair, the full diagnostic fee is credited against the repair total. If you decline, the fee remains payable.

All repair quotes are flat-rate, given after diagnosis, and require your approval before we begin. If additional problems come to light once work is underway, we stop and obtain your authorization before continuing.

4. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the visit unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept the payment methods available at the time of service. Outstanding balances may be subject to collection costs permitted by applicable Texas law.

5. Our warranty

We warrant our labor and the parts we install for one year from the date of the completed repair, or for the manufacturer’s stated warranty period when that is longer. This warranty covers the specific repair and the specific part installed. It does not cover:

  • New or unrelated problems arising after our visit.
  • Damage caused by power surges, flooding, pests, hard water, misuse, or use of an appliance after we advised against it.
  • Repairs or modifications made to the appliance by another party after we completed our work.
  • Normal wear on consumable items such as filters, door gaskets, drive belts, hoses and light bulbs.

To submit a warranty claim, see our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

6. Appliance condition and limitations

We repair appliances in the condition we find them. We may decline service on a unit with unsafe wiring, significant water or pest damage, prior improper repairs, or no available replacement parts. When a repair is not economically justifiable, we will say so and charge only the diagnostic fee.

Moving built-in or slide-in appliances during service carries some inherent risk to adjacent flooring, cabinetry and utility connections. We exercise reasonable care, but we are not liable for pre-existing weaknesses in floors, cabinets, plumbing or electrical connections that become apparent only when the appliance is moved.

7. Your responsibilities

Please ensure safe, clear access to the appliance and disclose any known hazards before the visit. We reserve the right to leave and apply the diagnostic fee if we find a safety risk at the property. In condominiums or high-rise buildings, please arrange any required building access, freight elevator scheduling or contractor certificate of insurance before our arrival.

8. Website content

Information on this site is for general guidance only. Nothing here guarantees that a specific appliance can be repaired or at a particular price. Cost ranges shown are illustrative examples, not quotes. Appliance repair involving gas supply lines or high-voltage electrical systems is regulated work and should not be attempted without proper training and licensing.

9. Brand references

All manufacturer names, brand names and model designations on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Steve Slaton Appliance Repair is an independent repair company with no affiliation with or endorsement from any appliance manufacturer.

10. Intellectual property

The text, images, layout and code of this website are owned by Steve Slaton Appliance Repair and may not be copied or republished without our written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, our liability to you arising from any service or from your use of this site is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including spoiled food, loss of income, or property damage not directly caused by our own negligence.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes relating to service performed in Texas will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the county where the service was provided.

13. Changes

We may revise these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you book your service applies to that appointment.
